Before you send us anything

Contacting us through this site, by phone, by text or by email does not make us your lawyer. Information you send before we agree to represent you may not be confidential. Please don’t send details about your case until we’ve talked.

What do you collect?

How do you use it?

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who do you share it with?

We share information only with companies that help us run the firm, and only so they can do that work for us:

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

What about text messages?

Criminal Center LLC sends our text messages from 202-990-2500. If you text us at 202-990-2500, or check the optional box agreeing to texts on one of our website forms, we’ll text you at that number about your inquiry. Agreeing to texts isn’t required to get help. If you book a consultation, we’ll also send appointment reminders. If you become a client, we may also send case updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. See our Text Messaging Terms.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your text-message opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the phone-service provider (GoTo) that delivers our messages.

How long do you keep it?

We keep inquiry records as long as we need them to respond, to check for conflicts of interest, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. Client files are kept as the rules governing lawyers require.

Is it secure?

We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, email or text system is completely secure. Please don’t send sensitive details through this site.

What about children?

This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

What choices do I have?

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email help@criminalcenter.com or call 202-990-2500. To stop texts, reply STOP.

Will this policy change?

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
